    Default naming admin folder

    Sorry for posting again on this issue but really need to sort it out

    Transferred to new hosting service and only have a little time to get up and running before current contract expires.

    although i can see the site on my new host cannot access admin?

    Question is when I set up on the new host should I re-name the admin folder to the same as it is on my current host and then over write all files except my configure.php

    Will this get me back to my old version of admin?

    Not quite sure why i cannot access the new admin - absolutely sure of the user name and password and have looked at the configure file and all looks correct.

    Naming the admin file should not make a difference as long as your config files have been changed to reflect the new admin name and the new server acct name in the appropriate spots.

    /var/www/vhost/accountname/public_html/store/

    Thanks so much for the reply - still really lost on this one.

    This is what I see in my configure.php which seems right. But if i look at it all I now have 2 admin folders on the new host - "admin" from the new install and "oldadmin" from my existing store that I backed up and transferred across. Does that mean I just delete the old admin. I made changes, added the modules blank side box and editable side box which both make changes in admin.

    define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/~xxxxx/newsite/admin/');
    define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/~xxxxx/newsite/');
    define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', '/~xxxxx/newsite/admin/');
    define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/~xxxxx/newsite/');

    // * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical)
    //the following path is a COMPLETE path to your Zen Cart files. eg: /var/www/vhost/accountname/public_html/store/
    define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/home/xxxxx/public_html/newsite/admin/');
    define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/xxxxx/public_html/newsite/');

    I am someone who could screw things up without any trouble I would tuck your new admin away somewhere just in case - whenever I delete something There is trouble. Just a suggestion!

    Probably revamp your old one because you know it worked at one time and Use it as a guide.

    I am also assuming you revamped BOTH config files?

    This is what i have in mine:

    Define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
    define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');
    define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
    define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');

    // * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical)
    //the following path is a COMPLETE path to your Zen Cart files. eg: /var/www/vhost/accountname/public_html/store/
    define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/home/xxxxx/public_html/newsite/admin/');

    This path does not appear to be correct unless your site is in a subdirectory.
    If your admin is within the public_html folder eliminate the newsite from your path.

    Also dont forget the :
    define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE
    it is at the bottom.
