Two attributes on one product with changing price..

Hi,

Does anyone know of a module available that does the following.

I sell ostrich feathers in three different sizes. Each size is a different price.

Am I able to set up attributes to that:

In the first column the customer selects the size of feather they need.

The attributes from the second column would then automatically update with the prices associated with the selection from the first box. Customer will then choose which option they want from this drop-down before proceeding to checkout.

Is there any way this can be done or, would I need somebody to do some custom coding?

If I understand what you're asking, that's called 'dependent attributes', where attributes offered depend on the selection of another attribute.

You can't do that in a stock Zencart installation, there's no mod available, and I think the question has been asked often enough that if it were possible for someone to code it at a price a regular Zenner could afford, it would have been done by now.

You can have multiple attributes, just not ones that depend on each other.

What you describe isn't dependent attributes, just pricing by attributes, which is a stock feature.

Set your product to 0 price and "priced by attributes". Then in Attributes Controller, insert the attribute (like 18") and give it a price. You will want to remove the + prefix, since the price is not added to anything but is the whole price for the product with that option. Repeat for the other sizes, and you're done.

Unless the second set of attributes actually has separate pricing and is influenced by the first set, which you haven't described... seeing them live would be helpful in understanding your requirements.

There apparently is a commercial mod for "length x width x height" or other such things; it is not very expensive (<$50), but I can't link to it as that would verge too much on advertising.

Is there a way to have the product price change to reflect the attribute value instead of just listing each price next to the attribute? So, if attribute 1 is $10, the main price changes to $10...and so on.
