    Default back ups

    My client has asked that his site be restored to the original i have done a back up and gone to the host and restored from the back up but have now lost the entire site

    it has come up with 404 not found the site is www.happiechappie.com (adult site) i also cannot log into the zen cart admin either please help

    Have you checked that

    includes/configure.php and,

    admin/includes/configure.php have all the correct settings?

    Can you go directly through your hosts cpanel? There should be a 'file manager' (or something similar) option in there?

    hi have downloaded the back up to the cp panel but the files are on the wrong side and you cannot choose where to upload them or copy them across so the path public_html has gone

    can you not select 'new folder' on the 'file management' page and name it public_html? You could then upload the files in there.

    no i wish it was that simple !!! and they are not very good to deal with you can only communicate via email

    there saying the permissions are set at 777 and changing this will reinstate the site but no idea where this is or what to change it to do you ???

    Can you get into the cpanel at all?

    yes i can but they are saying that some permissions are set at 777 but on looking there are not any but it says not to have 777 or 666 and some are set at 666 so what do i do change all of the 666 to recommended or not
