help question Security hash problem - new testing account

    zen 1.3.9h

    Following the http://zencart-ecommerce-website-des...d=26&chapter=0 tutorial

Using a new authorize.net testing account.

I am getting the yellow security hash message and a red "(TESTMODE) The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive." message.

It is a new account and I have tried changing and matching the hash value several times.

    I have attached a log.

    I am puzzled.

"The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive.
That's telling you that your Authnet credentials are wrong.
Maybe the tutorial from that other site is wrong? Maybe you've mistyped your credentials into the module? Maybe your authnet account isn't active? Maybe you need to call Authnet to verify which credentials are correct.

The official tutorial is right here on the Zen Cart website: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=373

That much I kinda figured out.

Maybe the tutorial from that other site is wrong?

Unlikely - looks like identical steps and I do understand matching credentials.

Maybe you've mistyped your credentials into the module?

Once maybe. Checked, rechecked and copy/pasted, regenerated TransKey 3x, redid hash 3x

Maybe your authnet account isn't active?

The email says it is and my developer account lets me see and maintain it.

    1. Does the zen module work with a developer's sandbox.authorize.net API Login or only a real account?

    2. SSL is on but I am using an hosting account shared cert. Does this matter?

Grreat - issue solved - so I rely on fake CC# and zen test mode to protect us from spending real money whilst testing - I can live with that.

    Where is that documented?
