    Default Blank Screen on Step 2 of the Checkout Process after editing files in dreamweaver

    Can anyone help me. I've set up PayPal no problem but now when I try to test the checkout process I get a blank screen in this page: index.php?main_page=checkout_shipping. It's Step 2 of the checkout process.

    What have I done or not done to make this happen?

    Tried that. I can't see any errors in the files. It's something to do with the files in the languages/english/modules/ folder.

    Anybody any other ideas?

    try removing the blank lines from the languages/english/modules/shipping/flat.php file

    Thank you Guaranteed!!! For some reason my includeslanguages/english/modules/shipping/item.php had become double spaced. Taking out the carriage returns took care of this issue for me. Hope it helps someone else!

    one of my carts just did this and this fixed it its weird it worked fine since October all of a sudden blank anyway the blank line is gone and the page is back

    semaxd, you really ought to do a full site evaluation. As you said, it's weird that it "suddenly" was broken. And THAT IN ITSELF SHOULD ALARM YOU. Seriously.

    This thread was incredibly helpful-- the continue checkout button on the Shipping Methods page just brought up a blank page. I was able to pinpoint the location in item.php with the cache/mydebug log, as described here, and just deleting the two blank lines at the end made everything work again. Thank you! You saved my site and my sanity!

    I think the blank lines came from opening the file with Dreamweaver, which sometimes adds space.

    This thread was extremely helpful. I found my problem in the table.php file. I opened this file in Dreamweaver to edit and somehow it added 2 blank lines to the bottom.

    I deleted the 2 blank lines and then uploaded the file and everything was fixed. I thought that I was going to have to re-install the whole site and start over. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
