    Default email on confirm order fail

    I am able to send emails from the contact us page with no problems.

    I just went through the order process and chose bank deposit as the payment method.
    When i clicked confirm order i got the following error message.

    "Email Error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: maxy00@***.***.**"

    Why would the confirm order fail but not the mails from the contact us page?

    Contact us sends from the site to your email address

    Order confirmation is sent from your server to some email address

    Post your admin > email options > settings

    As far as I know the SMTP settings are correct. I got the guy that manages my Emails to check them for me last week.
    2525 is needed for authentication according to him.

    As you are receiving the SMTP Error, get with him about this
    Or check with host about correct SMTP Port

    If I were to use SMTPAuth. The info says [FONT=Arial]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]SMTPAUTH[/FONT][FONT=Times New Roman] should only be used if your server requires SMTP authorization to send messages. You must also configure your SMTPAUTH settings in the appropriate fields in this admin section. [/FONT]

    Where do i need to enter this info??

    On the same screen. You snapshotted them and posted them in post #3 above: If you look at the bottom of that page, you'll see all the SMTP settings. You need to fill them all in.

    Something very strange is going on here!!
    Now if I create an account and try to login i get a message that the email address and password doesn't exist.

    Yet I can click the back button and update my account.

    When i try to login again I get the error message that the email address and password doesn't exist.
