Move my ZC store to another directory

Hi,
I know this question might be stupid. But i still want to know the answer.
Suppose my store is www.my_domain.com/store/
Now i want to change my store to:www.my_domain.com/shop/
I know install a new ZC under the /shop/directory can get it.
However, is it possible to copy the all files under /store/ to /shop/, and then just change some files.
say, i search "store/" in the admin--tools--developer toll kit
Then change all the "store" to "shop" in the listed files.
Do i need to change the database?

No, no, and no.

It's really a lot easier than that. It's just a matter of renaming /store to /shop on your server, and editing the two configure.php files to change the paths.

Depending on how well indexed the store is in Google, it might also be worth doing a 301 redirect.
