I was wondering how to install this?
I have an English language site, but some Russian customers.
I don't need the admin to be in Russian, only what the customers see. I also need it to be dual language, so that customers can choose between English or Russian.
Can this language pack do this?
Hi a_berezin
I understand that you are trying to be helpful here, but when the question is how to install and the first instruction is Install all files, this is very frustrating.
I am presuming that the files and subfolders in your folder should put in the zencart folder, but some of them have the names of existing subfolders. (eg editors, images and includes) Should your ones replace the ones there? Or should the files in your versions of the folders be added to those folders? What happens when there are conflicting filenames?
I have tried many combinations of the above, without success.
Also, there are folders with similar, but different, names (eg admin). What should be done with this?
Could you explain what this means and how this is done? Which screen, which command?2. Convert data base to utf-8
It is very difficult to understand what is meant here. What are intended to be the source files? The original Zencart files? (these will be overwritten by now if instruction 1 is followed). Are you trying to say that, to install, we should copy your files, but give them different names? That seems strange, it would be easier for them to be developed with the correct names.3. In admin copy
includes/languages/english.php -> includes/languages/russian.php
includes/languages/english/*.* -> includes/languages/russian/*.*
I would very much appreciate it if you could clarify these points, and I'd be happy to help developing instructions into a clear step-by-step guide.
I am well aware of what it means to install. With your package, it's not clear which files and subfolders should be placed where.
Also, it's not clear whether your files and folders should replace Zen files of the same name/path, whether they should be put in a different location or whether the folders should replace the entire contents of folders with the same name.
Are you willing to disclose where the files should be placed?
Has anyone updated the Russian language-pack to work with v1.5.1 (or v1.5.0)?
