Blank Order

Does anyone have any suggestions:

1. Software up-to-date
2. I can process orders just fine through PayPal Pay Pro
3. Anywhere from one to 2 weeks after and order, a blank NEW order arrives. No customer info, seemingly random, payment type GC, no amount, but in the footer it references:

>Host Address: ipn.sandbox.paypal.com

5. In Zen Cart the module is clearly LIVE not sandbox. Again, payment processing is working fine.
6. PayPal help desk logged on today, did a fake order, verified that from their end all looks configured correctly

I've had something similar happening to me occasionally recently. When a customer creates an order, I get a blank order (completely blank) immediately following it. The one difference is mine says for the host address: notify.paypal.com

This latest transaction was a direct credit card transaction using WPP. I'll keep my eye on them to see if that's the trend. It hasn't happened in about a week (a hundred or so orders?)

This started happening to me again today. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my web page/server, or PayPal. It was happening occasionally about a month or two ago (see above), but I got a bunch of them today.

Here's a really basic summary of the problem as I see:

An order is placed and processed through PayPal. All is well. Then there is an update to the order other than the standard updates (in my case, the order was placed in a different currency so there was an update regarding the currency exchange). The update should have been appended to the previous order, but it wasn't and was created as a new blank order.

The blank order is listed as "Payment Method: Gift Certificate/Coupon". When edited, I see a status of:

PayPal status: Pending multi_currency
Trans ID:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I replaced the actual transaction ID above with XX's for security reasons, but it was identical to my previous order so I know it should have been appended to it. The obvious difference I see with this second transaction compared to the original is that it says "Trans ID:" instead of "Transaction ID:". Is this a common theme with your blank orders?
Maybe it's just a matter of the IPN handler not recognizing the transaction line because it's looking for the whole word? I've never really delved into how PayPal WPP transactions are received by Zen Cart.

I am having the same issue.
I have had this happen 5 times over the last 5 days. The blank order comes in a few seconds behind the actual order. I can't seam to find a pattern in the actual orders, only that they are PayPal Pro Credit Card orders. Some are international, some are domestic, some are shipped UPS, and some are USPS....????
There is no name or address info on the order, payment (on the blank order) is always ZEN Cart FREE CHARGE CARD.
This kind of worries me???!!!!???

Ok, So I think I've figured it out somewhat.
From what I can see the blank order jumps in when there is a flag raised with the fraud filters... I noticed on blank order, with the same trans ID as the order b4 it said :
PayPal status: Pending address @ xx:xx:xx Apr xx, 2011 PDT
Trans ID:xxxxxxxxxxxx
The address was unconfirmed on the order b4 the blank...

I Think that's about everything. Blank orders didn't start showing up until after the install of PayPal PRO and Optional insurance. I believe it's a PayPal issue that is causing this. At this point we have chosen to just ignore the blank orders...

First thing I'd do would be to upgrade to v1.3.9g and then v1.3.9h to benefit from the various bugfixes addressed in those.
