It looks like that field is only addressed when this program runs:
usps_autofill_button.php

So prior to that it will be the 0 or -1 ...

So, creating an order does not run that function ... so the field for the total_weight is not filled with the totals until it is run ...

If you do a search for:
usps_autofill_button

you may be able to see what program is running that function ...

Search both the Catalog and the Admin to see what all runs it ...

Hi Linda - I searched all and the only .php file that runs this function is usps_autofill_button.php Would you be willing to help me determine how to update total_weight in the appropriate area - I'm assuming when the order being processed is in it's final stage after the order is complete. I would gladly pay for your time as well. Please let me know your thoughts as I'm basically stuck not being able to export my orders to my fulfillment house.

I should mention that I could just create a field in the table orders and call it order_weight or something like that so we don't break any other useage which is using total_weight. Your thoughts?

I was wondering if you got me message about helping me with the code changes needed to update a field with the total order weight? It doesn't have to be total_weight - as a matter of fact I don't think that would be a good idea - but I could create a field called torder_weight.

I would be willing to pay you if you would help me.
