Looking for Manual Shipping Quote module

Hello, we are using the Advanced Shipper Module successfully and love it for our normal product lines which ship via UPS and USPS.

But now we would like to start offering some larger products that we will need to manually quote freight and then give it to the customer.

Does anyone know of a module or add-on that will take the order and place it "on hold" and then once we get a quote, we would enter it on that order and tell the user he can now login and see his shipping price for that order?

I don't mind if its paid or free.

good idea. it's possible:

1. customer make an order, at checkout shipping page, he/she see an new shipping module "Custom Quote"
2. when this module is selected, the order does not proceed, but display a notice "Please wait for our quote"
3. you can see this unfinished order, and set a separate shipping rate for this order; when it's set, customer got an email saying "shipping rate is quoted"
4. then he/she can checkout as normally
5. you see the custom shipping rate order in admin side

A raw idea, maybe it can work. If code it to a solution, may need a whole day.
