Problem with Paypal connection - Error (28) connect() timed out!

This issue isn't related to security certificates. Someone did post that PayPal suggested checking that, but this is unrelated.

Just got off the phone with NetSol. Lo and behold, they admitted to doing a server upgrade about 2 weeks ago, which happens to be the time all these issues started for many of us. Service ticket in and hopefully this will be resolved in the next couple days.

what exactly did you tell them to resolve so that I can tell them the same thing too and not waste time?

Do you only have paypal express problem?
or do you have UPS shipping mod problems too?

I told them about the error message I was getting and that it started about 1.5-2 weeks ago. Their rep told me they just did a server migration about that time. This is not the first time I've had issues with NetSol and their server migrations affecting zen cart. It can be pretty frustrating. Unfortunately for me we have too many sites hosted with them and trying to move everything to a new server would be a huge task.

By the way, just received my first paypal order since this ordeal began. I don't know if it was a result of my call already (doubtful) or just a fluke.


As for GoDaddy, I've not heard very good things about their hosting.

This is not the first time I've had issues with NetSol and their server migrations ... It can be pretty frustrating. Unfortunately for me we have too many sites hosted with them and trying to move everything to a new server would be a huge task.

Well, hopefully you've got so many sites with them that they actually take you seriously and fix their problems.
