Admin taking time to load

Hello,

I am using zen cart version 1.3.8a. When for the 1st time I opens the admin of the site in the browser, it takes more than a minute to load. Kindly anyone suggest me how to speedup up the admin. version check is off from the admin configuration.

Am presuming your zencart store is located at url in your signature...
Visited....using Internet Explorer, took over 1 minute 30 secs to load...using Firefox...2 minutes and gave up waiting eventually.
Other members might test for you too...my isp connection is very fast from here in uk...
Which web host are you using as matter of interest?
