Default Upgrading from 1.3.9e to 1.3.9h?

    Hi all,

forgive me for being a complete noob, but can anyone tell me the easiest way to upgrade from 1.3.9e to 1.3.9h?

is there a changelog that details all files affected from 1.3.9e to 1.3.9h? or do I have to do each and every update i.e

    1.3.9e - 1.3.9f
    1.3.9f - 1.3.9g
    1.3.9g - 1.3.9h

? Please tell me I dont..?

I have many mods and preferably would simply like to know what files need overwriting/moving/deleting from 1.3.9e to 1.3.9h.

    Many Thanks

    Phil

You can see the changelogs for each of the 3 stages by looking in the /docs/ folder.

    I do it like this:
    - unzip 1.3.9h
    - grab the 3 changelogs, and print them
    - start copying the changed files (doing merges if I've customized any of the files)
    - repeat for each of the changelogs.

Since a file might be listed on all 3 changelogs, as long as I'm using the latest (ie: 139h) file when I do any of the copies, then I can skip that file if it shows up on the other lists since I've already done it once.

So, in summary, you have all the info you need to create your own list if it's a list you're after.

And, yes, you need to update all the files mentioned in all 3 documents.

Cheers Doc I did just that, worked through ticking off the files as I went and renamed old ones .bak prior to adding the new ones so I could easily see which ones had already been done from previous changelog.

Do I need to uninstall and re install my payment modules ? Or are they ok to be left?

    Many Thanks

    Phil

Oh forgot to say, could find

    Includes/.htaccess

In the downloaded files is it because it's hidden? What's the contents of the file? I can't work out how to show hidden files
    On my mac

    Yes, dot-prefixed files are "hidden".

There are a number of ways.
    - you could fudge Finder to show hidden files. There are many articles online about how to do that with a command-line statement. You'll want to turn it off again for normal use.
    - you could view the hidden files via your FTP application
    - you could use a 3rd-party utility like PathFinder which lets you easily turn on display of hidden files, and edit them directly too.
    - your text-file-comparison program likely will show you the .htaccess files and allow you to compare old-and-new versions just like you would with any other file.

I recommend deleting all those .bak files after you're done, since they can cause trouble if left there.

Not between 1.3.9e and v1.3.9h, no.
