Payment calculation total does not ad up?

I also notice that when I edit one of my products and change the net price to say $5.00, the gross price becomes $15.00

Again, not sure why zen cart is adding up all the tax rates and applying it to every item.

Looking through it again, I'm thinking that maybe because I didn't finish adding subzones to each zone, the unfinished zones are being added in with the finished ones. But I'll have to wait until later to try it.

Get all your Zone Definitions setup with their proper DETAILS and it should correct all of these issues ...

Thank you very much for your help! It's working. I'm not done with all the zones, but I can see the gross price of my items falling each time I activate a Zone. What a relief.

Just curious, but are you sure you need to charge tax for all states?

Might check with your accountant on that one ...

Great to see all that comunication, but my problem was that the full price showed first in the check out, then the delivery and the vat were shown seperatly. The first price should be the price without vat then the delivery and vat amounts then the bottom line should be the total of all. Please look back at my attachement and advise. Many thanks.

Your "problem" is that if you are displaying prices with tax, the tax figure shown is the amount of tax that is included, not the amount of tax to be added (which is what one would normally expect to see in the UK). The simple workaround is to go to admin > localisation/taxes > tax rates, edit your vat and alter the description to "includes VAT @ 20%"
