Unable to remove new product from main page

HI:

I have done this before by going to admin>configuaration>index listing> and setting the new product display to 0. I am using a new template. Any help on how to remove the new products would be appreciated. Here is the website

I am using firefox browser and don't see any new products on your home page link you submitted..

I tried Firefox but on the left column under categories there is the New Products [more] sign a book is showing. I want to remove that

and this to:

Admin>Configuration>Layout Settings:
1. Categories Box - Show Products New Link

I was able to get rid of the New Product link but the New Product[more] persists. May be it is hard wired by the template maker.
