Default Authorize.net - Enable Database Storage - option

This is in reference to the option in the Authorize.net AiM module....Enable Database Storage Yes/No

I did several searches using Enable Database Storage and "Enable Database Storage" but did not find what I was looking for.

    What exactly does this do?

Does it store the actual credit card number, expiration date and security code in the database?

If so then I must have this disabled per PCI requirements.

If not, then what exactly is stored?

What other issues if any will there be by having it enabled or disabled?

No, as of v1.5.0 it does not store anything that's not PCI Compliant.
Enabling it simply stores debug data so that you can audit any problems that might be happening. It's basically an audit trail. Very handy for diagnosing problems after-the-fact.
