    While you're here, a quick answer. In PRINCIPLE, it's the same technique, but ZC comes already configured for USA (country) and all the STATES.

    This is what we do if there is a specific need for a "Custom" UK set-up, and as Vger says, it allows for the creation of Channel Islands as a different VAT zone from the rest of the UK. For our Business-to-Business clients, this is important...

    We then assign our own "ISO" codes to these "new" countries, so that (if needed) we can use shipping modules that require ISO codes. BUT... be careful here. You need to create "ISO" codes that don't already exist for an existing country.

    Wikipedia has several "lists" of country ISO codes, so check them out there. There is also an official list of these codes.
