help question Customizing Pure Black Template

    Hello,

I'm in the process of upgrading my website (www.hijean.ca) and installing the Pure Black Template (www.hijean.ca/demo) and I need some help. I've got a few questions so I'll list them:

    Header
    1. How can I remove the categories from the top header?

    Product display
    2. How can I remove "0 units in stock", "Add to cart" box, "Write a review", "Tell a friend", and the date of when the product was added?

    Main
    3. how can I remove "New products for June"?

I mainly use our website as a catalogue so I'd like to remove all these unnecessary elements.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your help.

    Hi Misty,

Thanks for the link. I was able to solve the first 3 problems from it.

Would you mind elaborating what you meant by "Side bar heading altered via stylesheet of template"? I'm still new to this. What do I have to do?

    Thanks,

Misty was saying that the alterations for this can be made in the stylesheet.css file for this template. This is where most of the 'styling' occurs.

In your case the background for these elements is provided by a background image which is at:

    http://www.hijean.ca/zen/includes/te.../img_menu2.gif

So you would need to replace/edit that image to get the result you want.
