Why are you using your ISP as the SMTP server?

Most hosting accounts provide email addresses to be created and are processed through their servers

With many the SMTP would be along these lines

    Code:
    mail.your_domain.com

    Ummm lol
I am using the smtp given by Rogers.
It has the same format as you mentioned.
    smtp.broadband.rogers.com

That works for my outlook but not for Zencart.
    I get an error.
Email Error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.

    Now I do require:
My outgoing server (SMTP) require authentification
    in my Outlook.
Does that cause a problem with Zencart?

    Thanks again
    Nancy

    Basics:

    What is your email address

It should be to look like a business

    [email protected]

    NOT
    Code:
    someone@ yahoo dot com
    someone@ aol dot com
    someone@ gmail dot com
    OR
    [email protected]

You can enable BUT only for a short time as it will bloat your DB
admin > config > email options > Email Archiving Active?

and I believe there is a 3rd party module to view them in the admin

This will only validate that the email is generated and being passed from ZenCart to the mail server WHERE ZenCart's responsibility ends
As once passed it is in the hands of the mail server

If not being passed off see this

    Ok thanks.
I do have some accounts like [email protected]
but for some reason, still having issues with them.

    I looked at
    http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Email_Problems
    and it did mention yahoo.com.
I use yahoo.ca but changed all my settings to match and it
    still didnt work.

I will just leave the email until I get the domain name emails working.

    Thanks for your help
    Nancy

Port 25 may be your problem.

Where is this "server" hosted? At home? at some datacenter? At some hosting company?
