    Default PHP.ini error

    I am trying to install zen-cart onto a VM and getting the following error message;

    date.timezone not set in php.ini

    I have installed zen-cart previously and never had this error.

    Version: 1.3.9h
    Base Operating system: ESXi
    VM operating system: Linux 11.2 x64

    I would appreciate if anyone can help with this problem.

    Thanks in advance

    This isn't a Zen Cart problem. You're best advised seeking help for this on a forum which assists people trying to self-manage their own dedicated or vps servers.

    Not trying to be a , but isn't the error message (and therefore the solution), obvious?

    If you wish to know *why*the date.timezone isn't set, then that's an entirely different question that isn't worth the time to speculate over. IMO

    Was your previous install on a windows server? I copied a site from a windows hosting over to a Linux, and it had a php.ini file in the root and I kept getting lots of errors. Deleted the file, then it ran fine.
