locked product?

I am thinking about setting up an e-commerce website using Zen and i was wondering:

is it possible to have some of "products" or an entire category of products password protected? or perhaps set permissions that only a selected few of my members could see and therefore purchase them?

Any help would be appreciated :)

It would be possible but would require custom code to effect
