Easy populate additional images

Hi,
i need more informations about Easy Populate

I want know if Easy Populate can manage additional image of my products.

Every product i have need to show with 3-4 different images can support this?

Becouse on easy populate i see only one column (v_products_image) allow me to do this.

The CVS files i get not have photos renamed like
photo_1
photo_2
photo_3

The photos are hosted by my wholesale hosting i just link to them.


I need column like v_products_image (this for first image)

In easy populate CSV file not have have column about additional image?

how i can add additional images in easy populate CSV file?

Not possible. Like misty pointed out you have to rename the image.

IT is not recommended to host images on another site even if it was your wholesale. You should always host your own images on your store. You can easily download the images from your wholesaler and upload them to your store.

You need to understand the purpose of Easy Populate...

It is to put INFORMATION into the DATABASE.

The INFORMATION will include the NAME OF THE MAIN IMAGE.

Easy Populate DOES NOT load up the actual image file(s). These are best-loaded via FTP.

The v_products_image is simply a REFERENCE in the database, so that when the PHP code needs to establish what the main image name is, it calls it out of the database, and strips it into whatever HTML code is being parsed.

I already download images.
Now i can add additional images?
In easy populate CSV file i dont see any column about additional image.

This just crazy... sorry.
I cant rename all photos.

Dont have any plugin do better than easy populate?

Hi, thanks for your info.

But before i populate already one website with tousand of photos just with link (by easy pupulate)

In that time products have just one photo (easy job)

Now the problem is additional photos.

I have already the name of every additional photos i need just a column to paste name.

column like v_products_image

My question is. can I add column like

v_products_image
v_products_image_1
v_products_image_2
v_products_image_3

?

How can i do this? Need to modify database?

I just look at Magento platform can do this easy.

But i like Zencart i no want change platform just for this reason.

Please help me.

No you can't do it in Zen Cart.

I have hundreds of thousands of picture and still manage to change their names to match.

You post it as a custom job and try to find someone that can code a php tool that will look up the image name related to the product in the database and convert the images your uploading to that name.

Zencart will AUTOMATICALLY recognise additional images - you do not need to put this data into the database. It is much easier and more clever than Magento.

In your Easypopulate, you have the MAIN IMAGE NAME: imagename.jpg

Then, somewhere on your own computer, you have images called:

imagename_01.jpg
imagename_02.jpg
imagename_03.jpg

You use Easypopulate to get the database to store imagename.jpg .

Then, all you need do is FTP the other three images to the main images folder.

Zencart will do the rest - it will see that there are now FOUR images that have the same BASE NAME (imagename), and it will know that the three with _01, _02 and _03 are ADDITIONAL image for that main image.
