    Default Changing the template

I uploaded a new template, but I can't get the web page to point to it. I find it in the admin area and select it, but it does not appear on the web page.

If you have selected it and it is not displayed --
then you have not installed it correctly

I followed all the instructions. Telling me that I didn't install the template correctly is not helpful. Telling me how to install the template correctly would be better.

That is why there is a readme with most contributed templates
If not one of the contributed ones, this would have been important to have provided

If this is the best you have to offer, don't bother to reply. I'm looking for help, not vague references to things I know nothing about. I have never worked with this kind of software before. Don't assume I know anything, because I don't.

It would really assist anyone if you would provide more about what template, what you have done, what you do see in the admin side and so forth...

Not good protocol to ask for assistance and then bite the hand that attempts to help...

    You have essentially stated
I have installed a template, (you have to guess which one and where I installed it) and it is not working(can you guess why)

Excuse me for being as vague as you were. I fail to see what difference it makes which template, but it was one of yours, Template #241 - Templates13. The instructions I followed were: "In order to install a Zen Cart template, you need to upload the installation template package in the includes/templates folder inside your Zen Cart installation directory." I uploaded it to /public_html/includes/templates. The readme file says

    1) Copy all the files to your Zencart Script installation folder
    2) Enter Admin Panel
    3) Tools > Template Selection > Edit > Templates Name
    4) Tools > Layout Boxes Controller > Reset

I did all of that. It doesn't work.

I've no idea where your rudeness is comiing from, but templates13 has no connection with the Zencart project that I'm aware of.

If you were able to select your new template in admin, you at least have the template_info.php file in the right place. A link to the site might let us spot something.

If I seem rude it is from dealing with arrogant people who give vague, condescending answers and take for granted that the end user knows what you're thinking. I programmed mainframe computers for more than 30 years and I never talked down to a user the way you people do.
