I was trying to find out where to go to find out if a customer has downloaded their product yet? The order still says "processing" and it has been since May 28th that the order was made.
"Processing" is simply the status that the order was set to when payment was completed. "Processing" generally means you're working on processing the order, ie: picking, packing, preparing for shipping, etc.
If you want to update that to something else after fulfilling the order, you have to do that manually by navigating to that order in your Admin panel, clicking Edit to open it, and then select a new order-status from the pulldown menu. You can add comments there too, such as a tracking number if you were shipping goods, etc. And you can optionally email those comments, and the fact that the status has been changed, to the customer when you click submit.
On that same screen you can see all the downloads associated with that order, and there you can tell whether they've attempted a download or not, since the count will be less than the number you set it to allow.
