Payment Module Needed

Using version 1.3.9h.

I'm new to zencart. I found a payment module last modified in 2007. I'm told by the payment processor that they don't believe that the Sage Payments Module (not the UK one) works anymore. If that is the case, is there a way to get a working one? What do I do if I require a payment processor that is not in zencart and potentially doesn't have one I can add?
