Is it possible to use the latest PayPal code in 1.3.8a
Please don't tell me to upgrade to latest version, does 1.3.8a support 3dsecure etc?

If it was a simple file-replacement, then we'd tell you to do that.

I would rather pay you to do the upgrade then take it on myself! I've made so many core changes!
What is the best software for comparing files and folders.
I think the best thing I could do is compare a fresh install of 1.3.8a against mine and then go through each file to see all the mods I've done.
So am I right in saying I can't use PayPal pro in the UK without 3d secure and centinel enabled, which are only available on 1.3.9.
There is no way to accept credit card payments on the site (without going off to paypal) in the UK with 1.3.8a, is that correct?

PayPal Website Payments Pro UK can be used to accept non-Mastercard/Maestro transactions without using Cardinal/Centinel.
However, that creates limitations for your customers unless they have Visa or other cards accepted by PayPal UK.
You can talk to your PayPal Account Representative about those features and the related requirements. You have to talk to them anyway if you're applying for Pro service..

So there has never been any code for cardinal on 1.3.8a.
Cardinal had only been possible on 1.3.9
correct?
I have spent nearly 10 hours so far working on upgrading and I have now got a blank page, the joys of modification :)
