Ad_pictures.jpg link change

Hi All!

I'd like to change the link to the image at top right in my template. I'm using bluecart, and there is a jpeg at the upper right in the logo header area. The current file is called Ad_pictures.jpg and links back to the ZC home. I'd like to change the link depending on the product in that graphic. I've looked in the header and footer pages, but can't find a place to change the link.

Well unless we can see the site we can't assist. The behaviour of your header seems customised already, so we can't guess as to how it works... We need to see it.

...or go to www.ledlights.com, go past the html into the cart, upper right banner. Right now, I've replaced the old banner with a white spacer, but if you rollover, you'll see its position and link.

Actually, even the logo goes to the ZC home, I'd like to change that too.

OK, so I can see a pure white jpg image at the top right.

Bt I am unsure of it's ultimate purpose.

If you describe the EXACT BEHAVIOUR you are trying to enginner, then we can make suggestions.

If, for example, you want an image to appear that is relevant to a product being displayed, and that the image must also have a specific hyperlink behind it, then we can start to think about how this can be achieved.

In these situations bear in mind that unless you describe accurately the behaviour you are trying to achieve - and WHY - it is not easy to make suggestions.

My question is "Why?"

... taking people out of the ZC system can kill their session (meaning that if they had started adding products to a cart, their cart could "evaporate" while they are sniffing about elsewhere.)

What is your purpose for wanting these functions.

I create all the graphics in-house, and manage ZC 100%. On demand, I often change the graphics to reflect trade shows, specials, coupons, etc. We don't like all of the banners on, it is too cluttered to our taste. But, that spot is desirable and at 495x78, a good space to do various things. I'd like to find where to change the link attached to that space. I can certainly just over-write the image with a new one each time, but it continues to link to the ZC home. I'd like to change the link with each new graphic.

Isn't there a mod that puts a banner into the header?

Look in the free add-ons.

But to o it the way you indicate...

This will require coding into the tpl_header.php file, that uses a series of CONDITIONAL statements, and pulls your results from the images folder(s) and the database - in much the same way that the product images are handled. (The relevant image on any given product data element is called by identifying what image is appropriate, and what link needs to be associated with it.)
