SMS customer when order dispatched

Hi guys,

I was hoping someone could help me. I have a company that provides the service of sending sms messages via the web. They have their own generic code for sending messages. I was wondering if someone could help me edit this to send a message when I select the customers order as dispatched (as I am struggling to achieve this myself!)

I shall have a look at hes coding to see if I can get more of a handle on what I need to do. Thanks.

This is not what you want. SMS on Sale is a catalog side mod. You want an admin side mod triggered on status change.

Look at admin/orders.php where it updates the order status, and insert your logic there. But you also need to build an opt-in infrastructure where people can say that they want SMS notification (many will not).
