How do I Set usps priority mail only to the Certain Products?

So i have looking all over the place to find the answer, and can not figure out what to do...... Here is my problem...

ok so I would like to have two shipping options on my site. One First class usps mail for smaller items and the other Priority Mail for larger items. For example - I sale all different types of items small and Big. Range from ounces to pounds. I sell what is call SETS on my site. These normally are shipped in Priority mail Large flat rate boxes.
How do I Set this only to the type of Product?

I want ALL SETS that are sold to have Shipping Option to Priority Large Flat Rate Mail. How?????

The rest I want First Class mail and if they buy a bunch of stuff Advance to Priority mail, But the Proper Priority mail - Flat rate boxes Small padded Envelope to Small Boxes to large.

I hope I have made it clear on what I would like to do.

I replaced the default USPS module with this one. This USPS mod will allow you to filter products by weight or by volume as soon as Marco uploads the latest version. I think the latest version may be available in the Support Thread post #36 related to the mod.

I have it setup on 2 sites filtering by volume and in my case, it gives the customer USPS option of First Class, SM flatrate, Med Flatrate, Priority Mail and Regional A. As the customer adds products to the cart, it removes the USPS options that are not large enough to hold the cart total.

Filtering by volume uses digits 6-11 in the product weight to store the product volume in CuIn. It took a while to tweak the product volumes.

International has similar filters except the Regional A & B are not offered but the O-1096L Large Video box ships for the SM flatrate rate.

Still can not get it to single out on certain products.

more of what i have tried.

I tried Setting the Tare to

Package Tare Small to Medium - 0:1

Larger packages - 0:20

The only thing this did was Remove the First Class mailing option but left all the Priority mail options...

I only want one option to show up for anything over 10lbs (eg. SETS)
Priority Large Flat Rate Box.

In the USPS setup, only select the FirstClass and LargeFlatRate radio buttons and those will be the only two options shown to customers.

If you want other flatrate options to be offered, then you must set the volumes of each of your products so that those options are removed appropriately.

The mod shows an example of how to enter the volume. Enter the weight/volume (cubic inches) of your SETS to be 600 cubic inches. That will force every flatrate option smaller than LARGE to be removed from the offerings to the customer. The volume of the MED flatrate is 515 cu inches, so anything over that will cause the smaller boxes to be removed as options.

Use this weight and test. If adding one SET does not remove first class, remove one of the zeros from the middle of the weight.

I have not setup the mod using the "Filter by Weight" option, but the instructions are fairly straight forward if you associate the dimensions of the LargeFlatRate box with orders weighing over 10 pounds.

I have product A that weighs 0.1 pound and are 2 cu in
I have product B that weighs 0.1 pound and are 13 cu in

I offer the following USPS shipping choices to my customers

1. First Class Mail
2. SM Flat Rate
3. 0-1096L Large Video box
4. MED flat Rate

• If a customer orders up to 7 Product A, they are given all of the choices.
• If they order 8 Product A, the weight goes over the max for FirstClass, so First Class is no longer an option.

• If a customer orders up to 5 Product B, the order can be shipped in a SM flat rate box.
• If the customer orders 6 Product B, the order will not fit within a SM flatrate box, nor first class, so the Large Video Box and larger are the available choices.
• I have 12.5 cu inches coded as the max volume that I will allow in a FirstClass package, so if a customer orders 1 Product B, it will not fit within my First Class Package, so they have options for everything except first class.

ok so setting it that way seemed to work for larger items....

But when i test a smaller item that is 1 oz it is still trying to do the Large flat rate box..

How do i fix that?

With Tare? I'm confused. about the Tare...

ok when i entered the 10.000000600 number you gave me.. it did set it to 10 lbs but when I checked it again it only had the 10 in the weight area.

As for setting the Cu in Where do i do that. Coz when i add it to the weight it dispersers.

ok so I removed the Flat Rate Large box... Saw that it was Complicating things.

I now have First Class and Regular Priority mail. this way base on weight I can just choose the Box to send it in.

but now, I'm having the issue on it charging the right amount.

Help????????
