    Default Internal Server Error

After a new install of version 1.3.9h I get Internal Server Error 500 when attempting to access the admin page for the first time. My site is hosted on a linux server at hostbig.com. Anybody please help!

Your host probably doesn't like having files or folders set to 777 permissions. Use 755 instead. Contact your hosting company for more specific help, since the server itself has a log that will tell them exactly why the 500 error is appearing.

Possibly even 644 - I have seen hosts that require this.

You can generally change these settings using your ftp program - look for a "permissions" button or something like that.

If your hosting is running suPHP files with less than 644 will throw server 500 errors.
