Item name not reporting on paypal receipt

I'v got a client with a sporatic problem. Sometimes the paypal receipt has nothing for the item name, it's just blank. Sometimes it reports the store name.

Previous posts have asked for log files, so here they are:

The cart is version 1.3.9h and PayPal Express Checkout (rev1.3.9h).

I'm not sure how to read the logs to know what I'm looking for.

It can't submit the line-item details if the prices don't add up properly. It's finding the product to be priced at 1.275 which doesn't add up to the rounded 1.28 submitted. So, instead of triggering an error from PayPal, it's dropping the incompatible details so the payment can go through.
The full details of the purchase are on the customer's order details which they get in their order confirmation email from your store and can view in their My Account order history.

Much has been done in v1.5.0 to address such rounding issues, so once it comes out of beta you will find it very worthwhile upgrading. In the meantime you might give the beta a try on a test copy of the site (not the live site).

If it's of any help, the bottom of the paypal receipts vary.

Some say 'Description: Shopping Cart'

Some say 'Description: Lori Jones has just sent you $1.28 USD with PayPal'

So far, it seems all the ones that say Shopping Cart have the cart info and all the others do not.
