mechant-product copy function

In the categories/products section we are able to copy a product from one category to another and it shows up in each section.

I have my vendors set up in individual categories (master category for ease of one vendor putting a sale on all their items at once).

I would like to have a product to be copied from one vendor to another also---for those that have worked on an item together vs creating a new category with both names

I can copy the product from one vendors main category to another but in the store it does not work like the regular products do...it still only shows in the primary vendors part not the copied to vendor area.

Is it possible or just leave as is better idea.

Linked Products will follow the cPath in navigation ...

If the cPath is missing, then they follow the master_categories_id ...

aha, that is what I was afraid of so I cheated and just made a vendor with both of their names and plopped it in there...helps me remember who gets what in commission too this way.
