remove price and add to cart from listing page

I have v1.3.9h and template barebones

I want to remove the price and add to cart from the listing page and only show it in the product page.

I think the place to make the change is configuration/product listing/Display Product Price/Add to Cart.

The value is 3. There is not an explanation of what 3 is or which alternative numbers I may use.

Where can I find an explanation of these numbers. Also am I in the correct place to make this change?

Those items can be in a sort order you speecify
1st. 2nd. 3rd, etc reflect the 1, 2, 3,

I did that but was not sure what other option is available for me. There is no explanation, only this "Do you want to display the Product Price/Add to Cart"
