Default PayPal Website Payments Standard Buttons

    Hi,

I have a question about the Website Payments Standard Buttons generated on PayPal business account.
I generated "Buy Now" button and got the code to be inserted into my website but not sure how to do it. Do I need to replace my current Buy Now button (standard button from Zen Cart) with the new code in the product info page?

This is a cost-effective way for me to enable my customers to make the payments by credit cards that would be completed on PayPal page.

    Simple: You don't.

When you enable PayPal in your Zen Cart admin->Modules->Payment screen, Zen Cart will automatically handle preparing and sending your customers' purchase requests through to Paypal.

Why exactly do you think you need to put PayPal buttons on your product pages? That's a concept that's only relevant to old-style shopping sites that have static HTML pages and no built-in ecommerce capability and the buy-now buttons are the only means of creating ecommerce/payment/checkout features for them.
Zen Cart is way more advanced than that, and does all that work for you. That's why Zen Cart puts an Add-To-Cart button on the page for you, and allows the customer to do checkout via the shopping cart.

Dr B. thank you for explanation.
Does PayPal Pro let me to offer credit card processing via ZC shopping cart without using PayPal buttons? I'd like to know before I subscribe for the service. As far as I know, yes.
