Default Losing customers... problems with payment section?

    Hi all.

Our shop at www.healingclay.com.au seems to possibly be having some problems. Customers are opening accounts, going through the the payment section, and sometimes taking 15 odd minutes there but making no order. We have had successful paypal orders, though. One customer emailed us saying she "could not get the payment method to load".

The site has been unchanged for quite a few months... this problem started about two weeks ago, apparently on its own.

I've tested the site with firefox, IE8, the android browser, and it will always get through to paypal.

    - We're running 1.3.9, not upgraded.
    - We have the ozpost shipping module, been working fine.
    - The hosting company is acorn solutions.

I'm wondering what to do to test this further?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.
The first thing that I would suggest is that you drop the PayPal IPN module and replace it with the PayPal Express Checkout module. It is FAR more reliable, and existing paypal customers will love you for it, because it means they don't need to create an account in your store to check out (it is done automatically).

I don't know why anyone is still using IPN these days.

OK, so this doesn't answer your question, but it will provide a better solution than trying to fix something that is inherently unreliable even at the best of times.

    Cheers
    Rod

I tried this and keep getting the following error message :

    This webpage is not available
Google Chrome's connection attempt to yesterdaysmagazines.comipn_main_handler.php was rejected. The website may be down, or your network may not be properly configured.

I have no idea where this is set, so I have no idea of how to fix it.
I've followed the installation and configuration instructions and can't seem to fix this. So, rather than not have any payment option, I've downgraded to standard IPN until someone can offer me some recommendations, suggestions or ideas.

    Thanks

    marty

    yesterdaysmagazines.comipn_main_handler.php

This is missing a slash / between com and ipn; is this exactly what is reported? If it is looking for that, you do have something misconfigured.

I'd like to fix it, but I don't know where. I tried fixing it in my paypal profile and it didn't work. is there someplace within zen cart that is ths defined or set?

A bit more information. I've attached 4 files:

    1) ipn_ls.png - an ls of ipn_main_handler.php
    2) curl.png - successful output of curltester.php
    3) ipnchec k.png - successful out of ipncheck
    4) pp_profile.png - where I set my IPN on paypal

    Thanks in advance
