Default keep email header logo during upgrades

    Hi.

I've encountered this a couple times now, where we upgrade the zencart version, and once we do that the email header logo reverts back to the default zencart logo.

How can we make the change permanent so as any future upgrades of zencart will not break the current email header logo?

    Thanks

Simple: don't overwrite the logo file when upgrading.

Thanks. However, I was wondering if there is anything in the config files that will allow me a specific file for the image? Similar to the templates in a way... any suggestion?

All your HTML-formatted emails are built from templates located in your /email/ folder.
You can either simply take note and pay attention to the image filename and NOT replace it blindly when upgrading, or you can edit each of those html template files and specify a different image filename.

Sounds like you're doing a lot of blind overwriting of files, instead of properly comparing and checking which files need to be retained or not.

In bangsters defence. I've caught myself out with this on several upgrades that I've performed too. It'd be really great if a future update would allow these images to be used in a /custom/ folder.

    Just saying... that's all. :)

    Cheers

    Suggestion noted.

However, the files are structured as they are to minimize complexity for email clients.

As always, you're free to customize the files however you wish. ;)
