Default 1.5.0RC1 popup says default database character set is Latin1

I'm installing a 1.5.0RC1 demo store in XAMPP, and notice the Database Character Set / Collation formbox selects utf-8 as default. But when I click "more info", the popup message says "By default, Zen Cart« uses the Latin1 character set / collation for the database and files. If you have a specific need to use UTF-8 instead of Latin1, you may choose UTF-8 here. "

    Is the popup message outdated?
