Password/Customer ID protected items?
Please forgive me if this thread is better suited in another section of the forum. I was unsure which forum in which to post this so I figured General Questions is an appropriate "catch all."
I run a photography business and I have set up my Zen Cart store so that customers may purchase their prints online. Currently, all of my photos are made available to everyone who visits the store and they must find their prints among the rest of the customers. I would like to somehow set it up so that the customer, upon visiting the website, must enter a unique customer identification number which then takes the customer to his/her own prints only.
Is there an add-on for this or is this feature already supported and I am just unaware of it? Thanks.
Re: Password/Customer ID protected items?
What you could do, it put the users photos in a html file, and embed that in an Iframe inside a product info page.
Then, at a server level on your hosting control panel, password protect that HTML file with a username and password which you give to your customer.
So apon anyone clicking on that 'Product' (It could be named Julias Wedding etc, with a thumbnail) they will be presented with a blank product page with a Username and Password Popup. Once they enter the name and password, the iFrame will load and they can see the pics.
