Export items from another cart?

Looking to export items from squirrel cart into zen cart.

First off, is it possible?

Second, anybody know how?

I'm sure it's possible. You would need to export the products into a spreadsheet program and reconfigure the fields to a setup that meshes with Zen Cart's database. Then you would use something like easy populate to import them. I can't give any details of how you would do this, not having used easy populate.

Once you have installed easy populate in zen cart, manually enter one product into your product catalog, completing all the required fields.

Then, use easy populate to download a CSV file and open it in Excel or OpenOffice. Now you can see the required column headings for importing your products into zen cart.

Using the same spreadsheet, enter all the products from your original cart. You should be able to paste each column in, being careful to keep each product row properly aligned.

You could try simply changing the column headings on the spreadsheet created from the old cart, deleting any unneeded colums and adding those unique to zen cart, but if that doesn't work, then input the data from the old cart directly onto the spreadsheet created using easy populate.

You might consider uploading products one category at a time, starting with a small category, which would allow you to catch any problems with the process early (before you invest a lot of time doing it a way that won't work).
