WE have a problem (lucky us, others have dozens)

In order to do the above procedure I need the damn Admin to perform, but there is no way I can access my admin, I am as banned as any user or visitor, and I have no admin access.

Thus I need another solution that can be something like writing the right thing in the myPHPAdmin session of Godaddy somewhere and see things running up again somehow, than I can access my admin and do things from inside.

    Any ideas?

    Made another attempt:

The darn MySQL admin has a restore button that was allowing me to restore at one month ago situation (11.Oct 2011), so I clicked it

    MySQL Database Information
    Status:
    Pending Restore
    Host Name:
    min1022707270946.db.6563892.hostedresource.com
    Database Name:
    min1022707270946
    Database Version:
    5.0
    Description:
    Zen Cart on mindyourbusines.com
    User Name:
    min1022707270946

and is pending restore since 2 hours ago, hoping it will finish sometimes this millennium, and naturally hoping it will work.

Until then the only thing that changed is the wrong message value:
144 Table './min1022707533517/zen_sessions' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed
    in:
    [select value from zen_sessions where sesskey = 'eb7hbe8b6736lfsnru3v10qlh5' and expiry > '1321013661']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks.

Restore didn't do any good, so I am back in square 1.

Before I leave this hosting I need to do two things:

Number one, repair the darn problem and have the site up and running again

Number two, find a better and more reliable hosting place.

Thus I am looking for suggestions, opinions, methods, anything that might help.

Meanwhile I will keep bugging Godaddy, but at this point I don't trust them any longer.

I would recommend you drop the table and recreate it from scratch.

There was no need to do a restore.
You could simply do the repair or the drop-and-create using phpMyAdmin.

There are multiple levels of technical support staff at your hosting company. If the junior staff cannot handle your request, escalate it to a higher level. Ask for their boss. Then if the next person cannot help, ask for the manager above them. Then if they can't help, ask for the manager above them. Don't take no for an answer. You're a paying customer.

There is only one things that needs dropping here...

    GoDaddy

    --------------------------

Seriously... look at what this disastrous host has cost you... Possibly 30 to 40 hours in fathoming out what's gone wrong, and the same in downtime for your store... that is lost revenue to you.

The fix could have been done by their guys in under 30 seconds...

For a couple of dollars a month more, you can get PROPER E-COMMERCE HOSTING, on servers that are configured to handle it properly.

Cut your losses, don't even bother fighting them for refunds... just put it down to experience and get out of there.

This week alone we migrated two new clients - one from GoDaddy and the other from FastHosts (birds of a feather). All of us feel so much better - great sighs of relief!
Did my post help you fix something? You can show your gratitude by buying the the dev team coffee.

I thought of that, what do I have to do to put this idea in practice?

Did the repair thing 3 times, no change, at least not in good, and I have no idea of how to do the drop and create thing but I am willing to try.

Already sent them a second request to be contacted by the technical manager, should it exist, BTW, can somebody procure me the home telephone number of the Godaddy owner? I would love to call the guy at 3 AM daily and tell him of the incompetence that reigns in his structure, untill he decides to fix my problem.

Actually I was considering to use my old desktop, a Pentium 4 running a 1.4 Ghz mono-processor with 150 Gb Hdd and 396 Mb RIMM memories and turn it into a linux web hosting server of my own, but it takes me some time to learn how to do that, in alternative what better options are on the market?

Thanks for caring and bearing with me,

    Emil.

When in phpmyadmin, and seeing all of the tables listed, scroll down until you see the sessions table (should be the ony one marked 'in use') check the box to the left of it, continue to scroll to the bottom. There should be a "with Selected" drop down, click repair in that dropdown

This seems like a reasonable idea, but it's not. A static IP is expensive, and keeping your machine patched so that it's not vulnerable when it's on the public internet without a firewall is a full time job.
