Sub-Domain to Share Image Folder on Main Domain

Hi, I have two separate installations, one on the primary domain (livingcolorgardencenter) and one on the sub domain (blackoliveeastnursery). I would like the store on the sub domain to access the image folder on the primary domain.

In the configuration file for the sub domain, I changed the image folder to the full url to the image folder on the primary domain, but the images don't show up. I tested the url to the image in the browser and it works fine. When I check the pathway to the image folder using firebug, the pathway still says "images/imagename.jpg".

Is there a problem because I am trying to read from a different domain?

I get this error message when I signing in to the admin section.

Catalog images directory does not exist: /home/lndlyb4/public_html/blackoliveeast/online_store/http://www.livingcolorgardencenter.net/zencart_living_color/images/

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
