Go grab a copy of the USER MANUAL.

    Thanks for the link:).

I think i am going to need to take this step by step as i don't even know where to start.

First i will add the mod of jamies counties linked a few pages back so i can get that done.

Then see about setting up the zones. I have already setup the UK/EU zones and made the tax rate for them. So would that only leave the countries outside the EU and create another class with 0.00% tax/vat?

    Cheers again

Trying to install jamies county mod but even that is proving to be a nightmare half the files such as configure.php that it wants me to make writeable don't even exist.

Im not sure what the jamies county mod was all about i followed the install steps and it seems to be trying to install zencart rather than a county mod.

Really wish zencart was abit more user friendly, these things should be built in. Shipping seems like its going to be a nightmare to set up.

Im glad i backed up as i think i have just ruined my site with installing the above, even though i used database upgrade. Now i can't get into the admin area even though i have deleted zc_install as it asked. Ahhhh.

Right think i will just pay someone to set up the shipping as im going to end up ruining the site.

Any idea where i can find a good web developer who is priced fairly and knows what he is doing?

    Cheers

So now im back to square one as i was going to price the postage on weight with my site, but the size of package is what counts more ive found when it comes to increased prices. 1kg 30cm 30cm 30cm is still the same price when you put 5kg, but if you increase the size by 10cm all round then you are looking at £4 more postage, so i would lose out if i priced my site by weight.

Any ideas how i should progress with planning postage/shipping prices for my site. I had the below so far, but i don't reckon that will work now as what i wrote above.

    Postage Prices
    United Kingdom
Up to 1kg : Use Recorded First Class - £3.95 inc VAT
1kg Plus : Use Courier Shipping - £6.99 inc VAT
Although i want both options to be available for the small orders, obviously anything over 1kg would be too heavy and only have courier shipping as option. Special Delivery as below will be an option at all weights.
For All UK Option: Royal Mail Special Delivery: £6.95 inc VAT. On Fridays: £7.95 inc VAT.

    EU
Up to 250g: Use Royal Mail International Signed For -
Up to 500g: Use Royal Mail International Signed For -
Up to 750g: Use Royal Mail International Signed For -
Up to 1kg: Use Royal Mail International Signed For -
Over 1Kg: Use Courier Shipping - £17.95(but doesnt work if you increase size of package then it would be £22.49 inc vat.????????

    United States
Up to 250g: Use Royal Mail International Signed For -
Up to 500g: Use Royal Mail International Signed For -
Up to 750g: Use Royal Mail International Signed For -
Up to 1kg: Use Royal Mail International Signed For -
Over 1kg: Use Courier Shipping -
