Default How do I login to admin?

Hi I have just installed Zen cart version 1.3.9h I am able to put in my web address and get the welcome screen up I know this is should be obvious but I can't figure out how to get to the log in for the admin area. I know once you tell me I'll be amazed at how obvious it is but I have been looking for a while now and can't figure it out.

Add /admin to your web address, and follow the instructions.

After the installation, ZC will "force" you to change the NAME of your admin folder. This is an important security step.

You need to do THREE things:

    1. In your host C-Panel, you need to set the permissions of admin/includes/configure.php to make the file WRITEABLE. Typically, these are 644.

    2. Then go to your FTP program, and call up admin/includes/configure.php for editing. You must use a PLAIN TEXT EDITOR, such as CRIMSON EDITOR (which is freeware, so go get a copy).

In configure.php, you will see the admin folder being referenced in a few places - including server paths. You will need to change that name (admin) to something else. Anything you like... "vanillafudge" is even OK.

SAVE the file, and set the permissions to 444.

    3. Using either FTP program OR your host's C-Panel system, you navigate to the admin folder and give it the new name (vanillafudge).

You now open a browser and navigate to:

    http://www.YOUR-WEBSITE.com/vanillafudge

    Thanks to all of you
I have tried the /admin option and had no joy. I was unable to access the files on C panel - I will need to talk to my host company tomorrow.

If you can log into your c-panel, there should be no reason why you can't access files...

I think you're misunderstanding several things. Your Zen Cart admin is NOT your cPanel.

I realise I should be putting www.mydomain.com.au/admin into my browser

    I get the following error

    Not Found
The requested URL /admin was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

You need to go to your host's website, and use their customer LOGIN link to access your hosting account, or the C-Panel.

Your host may also have sent you an email, showing you how to login to the various account areas of your server-space.

Sometimes, hosts use the propretary CPANEL and access van be gained by one of the following:

    http://www.YOUR-WEBSITE.COM/cpanel

    YOURWEBSITE.COM:2083 (or possibly 2082).

Then, using the LOGIN your host sent you, you will get to the CONTROL PANEL for your server.
