Help with setting up shipping

Hi,
I need some help with the shipping module this is my first shopping cart and my client has over 9000 products which at this point have no weights recorded. We would like to set up an option of small medium and large (based on an option we set not on weight) and then assign an $ value.
Have absolutely no idea how to do that!

We have seen quite a few clients close-up shop over the years because their shipping has been badly configured.

The BEST way to set up shipping is to FIRST decide on who is going to be your shipper, and to get a good understanding of how they calculate their fees. This can be one company, or several companies. In each case, a shipping module should be configured to MATCH the method and pricing of your supplier.

When you know who will do your shipping, and how their rates are calculated, you can then look at suitable shipping modules for more detailed configuration.

Do you mean how did the 9000 products have no weight recorded? It has been a shopfront for a long time and no need for measurements or weights.

We are in Australia and will be using Australia Post

If this requires your products to have weights, then you will need to add them.

Probably the easiest way is to use Easy Populate (version 1.2.5.4)

Dump your product data, then (manually) insert the weights in a spreadsheet.

Sorry... there are no short cuts.

That is what I was afraid of - so many people of told the client it is really easy to set up a shop - I feel like saying yeah it is - it will just take a zillion hours!

Ok that looks great but I am assuming you already had photos of your products and correct weight measurements?
