Send Email - HTMLarea - Rich Text Message, image not showing

Hello all,
I'm having trouble with my send email.
I select the HTMLarea, and want to only add an image to the rich text message section.
I add it, and preview with it showing.
When the customer receives the email, it is completely blank, no image.
Please help!

Try NOT using htmlarea, and simply handcode the <img> tag yourself with the correct path to the image file.
It's very likely that htmlarea is adding your admin folder path incorrectly, thus resulting in no image being seen (but your admin foldername is being disclosed, which is not good)

So instead of selecting the HTMLarea option I should leave it on Plain Text?

Just tried and unfortunately it had the same result. Email sends, but no image.

The image must be hosted at a URL that's accessible via the web. It's not embedded into the email. It's displayed by the email program accessing the URL where the image is hosted.
