I currently have my shipping options set up the way I want them for the US. I use a drop-shipper here in the US, so offering free shipping on orders over $25 for US customers works for me. But recently I have started getting International orders. My most recent was from Australia.
I have shipping set up like this:
Orders under $10.00 = $5.00 shipping
Orders $10.01-$24.99 = $7.00
Orders over $25.00 = Free Shipping!
Well my customer from Australia placed a $200+ order, so the shipping cost to her was $0, but cost me $80 ! So I need to set up international shipping charges pretty quickly.
Can I use the shipping modules from both UPS and USPS for International orders only. I'd use USPS for lightweight orders and USP for heavier orders. ( I have the weight already on each product, so that's all good.)
BUT I want the estimator to place the shipping cost in the invoice the customer pays, but I don't want it billed to me. I pay my drop-shipper the shipping cost directly, so I have no need for labels etc....
Can I use the shipping modules to figure out the shipping charges, add it to the total the customer pays, with out billing me? This way I'd have a pretty close cost for shipping figured & billed to the customer, and if it's off a little either way, it's not a problem.
I guess what I really need to know is :
Am I automatically charged shipping costs by the module by using it ?
Can I use the modules to figure out shipping costs only and have them applied to the customer invoice, OR Do the modules link directly to UPS & USPS, and I am obligated to pay them since I am using their module?
Thanks in Advance!
(Currently using 1.3.9h, upgrading to 1.5 this weekend.)
