Main page format is corrupt after auto upgrade by softaculous

I upgraded from Zen-cart 1.39h to 1.5 using Softaculous application my hosting company provides.

It was a very simple upgrade.

After upgrading my home page displays following message:

Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart® E-Commerce Solution.

Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?

Also categories has link to .jpg file.

I have backed up the database and site.

Please help!!!

Restore your back up and upgrade using the step by step manual procedure - NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! use any automated upgrade script.

This is the problem. It was simple because it doesn't understand the customisations you've made, or take any account of them.

There's an overview of the manual process in the FAQ, and also in the docs folder that you get when you download the package (there's a link to do this on this site's home page).
