I've modified my usps.php file and don't like updating it unless I have to, but I want to make sure the pricing is correct. We don't offer any of the new flat-rate options on our store, only the following:
Priority, Express, Priority Flat Rate Envelope, Express Mail Flat Rate Env, GXG
Will the existing usps.php file still pull the correct rates for these options? Any other issues?
We're still on zencart 1.3.8a (again, don't like updating if it ain't broke, don't fix it)
The new USPS January 22, 2012 works with Zen Cart v1.3.8 thru v1.5 ...
It is recommended that you upgrade to the current version for USPS ...
You can merge your changes into the current USPS shipping module ...

We're on 1.39h and latest USPS files have been updated.
Not seeing the FLAT rates options for DOMESTIC, only for International.
Wondering if this is normal or only for V 1.39h ?
Thanks Guys !
I have the upgraded v 1.3.9H I use USPS,
Priority , Express, Parcel Post, First Class Mail
First Class Mail international, Priority International, Express International
I do NOT use any flat rates.
I notice that now my USPS calculatior will not calculate the Frist class mail international option.'
It looks like everything else All other options are working correctly.
I want to know if this patch will fix that problem, (the USPS update jan22)
I also want to know what other features are added with this new update and I want to know that if I do not want to use the new features that I dont have to? For instance it is talking about the flat rate options but I do NOT want to offer that to my customers. Please let me know how this works thanks. Jamie
Yes you need to upgrade. The old module will quit working March 31, 2012 according to USPS plans to shut down the technology that fed the old rates to the old module.
The upgrade for this module is simple: record your settings, remove the old module, upload the 2 new files to replace the 2 old files, install and reconfigure the new module. Takes all of 10 minutes if you use a pen and paper for writing down your settings.
