Column Grid / Single Listing Template Alternative

Thanks!! I have re-installed it SNAF, so if you can help me get it working with my template that would be awesome!.. website is stageandtheaterlighting . com . I set my "maximum products per page" to 100. That way you can see, I believe, that there is some kind of pattern happening.. if you will click on a category like "video curtains - backdrops",, or "all bulbs" , they have lots of products. Anyway, please let me know if there is anything that I can do to get this looking right, because I really love this listing tool. I will make my thumbnails smaller and limit the text on each product listing and REALLY take advantage of this feature... Thanks!!! ps.. once again, I'm using V1.5.0 with abagon red template

One more thing,, I know that it is best to post everything pubic so that the entire community can benefit, but If there is some php file, or part of my database that you need me to email to you let me know. I don't know if I can just copy and past the entire page here or not??? but anyway, please let me know if you need to see anything in my database, and if so, how to get it to you. thanks!!

Yes, padding issue on the columns :-) In your case the problem is:

.tabTable td {
	padding: 12px 8px;
/*	text-align: left;*/
}

if you set the padding to zero then the alignment should work on the page :-)

that line is in stylesheet.css

Have you had an opportunity to look at my issue with SNAF (I posted it in the SNAF support thread)

So in addition to the afore mentioned uninstall error, I confirmed that my issue with the new products listing may be related to SNAF.

This is a vanilla site with onlyt the Ashley Pink template installed..

When there are no new products to show it looks as if a language file is missing, but I uploaded everything in the SNAF package..

(note: this worked before installing SNAF)

Confirmed that the seemingly missing language file might be coming from SNAF.

When I set to Use Product Listing Format for New Products to "True", the language constant appears as if there is a missing language file.

When I set Use Product Listing Format for New Products to "False", the text "More new products will be added soon. Please check back later." is displayed..

Thanks.. I KNOW this is something minor, but not sure what.. I tried adding the constant definition to the snaf.php file in the extra_datafiles folder and no change..

First of all, THANKS!!! that fixed my problem. You are awesome!! I looked at the links you provided below my answer, and read the text about the issue with SNAF, but I don't really understand exactly what the problem is (if any, in relation to my site), and what I need to do to fix the problem (if anything)... I'm trying to learn, and I certainly am learning becuase of you and others here, but I just don't know enough yet to understand exactly what's going on in reference to the issue you are addressing in the thread.....

Don't worry about it too much. There were two conversations going on at the same time. One between you and I.

In that case the problem is that column grid makes each 'box' one third of the width of the space. Which works great until the template adds some padding to the 'box'. So then each box is one third plus a bit extra. It doesn't work so well.

The other conversation is Diva letting me know ( in a nice way ) that I had made an error when I wrote this mod. If you don't find the error then it isn't a problem :-) It only applies if you have a new products page and no new products. If you do find the problem then you need to nag me to release the next version :-)

Oh and any site that has to do with concert lighting gets special treatment from me. I spent too many years on tour buses. Or I think I did. As far as I remember. There are gaps in those memories :-) But the airmiles must have come from somewhere...

ok, if I run into that problem I will certainly bug you about it... haha... Hey, I know what you mean about the gap in memories, or whatever it's called... . I was on tour (in some vans that needed work), some school buses (that needed work), some motor homes (some new, some that needed work, haha), some tour buses (nicccceeeeeee), some flying (glad they didn't need work) - mode of travel depending on what year it was and what band I was with - for a little more than 20 years more or less..... and I still run sound for a living,,, in a full time band, but just not what I call a road band... I have dogs now, can't leave them.. haha... Thanks for the Zen Cart help!!!!
